Spanish Infantry Update.

Got the first base of these finished late last night despite having a minor eye injury, a consequence of using a chainsaw with my helmet visor up. It has at least forced me to honour the Sabbath so I might get a bit more painting done after lunch. This might be the last opportunity for a while though, last weeks gales have made me a very busy man with at least a months work on top of the usual work load, it is as they say an ill wind that blows no good.
Anyway on to the eye candy:






Took advantage of some rare sunshine to snap these outdoors on my Panion board ( which has since been used for much more far ranging locales), natural light is a lot more forgiving of my rudimentary photographic skills.

    Great looking group. I must ask, though, what are those sticks doing in and around the figures? Sorry, if you've posted earlier, but must've missed it. Take care of that eye too, buddy. Best, Dean

    Thanks chaps, Eye on mend thanks Dean.The sticks are some kind of vegetable stalk I bought years ago, I use them to represent maize stalks, reeds or tall seed heads like millet.

    These are lovely. Were their coats grey or off white as I can see you have differentiated them from the cross belts?

    Evening Legatus, the material I have available lists the jackets as grey & the crossbelts as white. Starting with the current batch on the paint desk I'm going to use vallejo canvas as a base coat on the crossbelts to make them stand out better.
