An occasional journal chronicling my ongoing forays into the world of roleplaying games, boardgames & tabletop wargames and my continuing lack of success in either of the last two; this is where the lament bit comes in.

Freshly Based Celts.
Last nights homework was to finish modernizing the bases on my Renegade Celts, job well done I think.
Now if only Renegade would pull their fingers out & start producing miniatures again I could reinforce these bad boys.
I like the irregular base shape. Something I like to do with tufts, is to lightly dry-brush with Buff Titanium; it makes the tips of the grass look dry, as one sometimes sees. Matt varnish can look good, too.
I really love your plaid! Much better than mine.

Thanks Simon, I will try those suggestions on the next batch of bases.

Splendid work, HGA! They look great
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Love this unit, looking fierce and savage!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Phil.
What a fantastic unit - those plaids are excellent and I love the basing
ReplyDeleteThanks All, got a serious urge to paint more of these, just a shame Renegade have disappeared.

Black Tree mix in very well with them; cheap, too!
ReplyDeleteAdore your plaids! If they fight as good as they look, your opponent is in trouble.
